Coy Nesbitt is a Senior Health Policy Analyst in the Health Policy Institute. He conducts policy research and analysis on federal and state health programs, vulnerable populations and the health care reform implementation. Before joining HPI, he was a Senior Policy Analyst on the Health Care Team at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) in Washington, DC. While at GAO, he conducted policy analysis and program evaluation of various federally funded health care programs, including Medicare, Medicaid and federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). Prior to the GAO, he was director of Urban Family Development, a faith-based organization that provided academic and social support to at-risk children and youth in Washington. Coy, who also works for UPMC in the Physician Services Division, received his Master of Science in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
