Dr. Jennifer Ervin is currently a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at University of Pittsburgh, and is an adjunct professor in the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
Dr. Ervin studies small group dynamics in a variety of settings. For example, her dissertation focused on information sharing in small decision-making groups that engaged in multiple discussions about mental health. She is currently part of the UNITED study (UNderstanding Intensive care Team Effectiveness and Dynamics), which focuses on the use of evidence based practice when caring for critically ill adults. Her research interests also include family engagement in critical care, and interprofessional and interdisciplinary conflict.
